Truckee Green School

Truckee Elementary’s Green Team has just completed its first audit of the cafeteria’s waste stream. The team performed three lunchtime reviews, where members sorted recyclables, compostables and garbage, and then weighed each component. Results were averaged to gain a valid starting baseline, from which we will be able to measure progress as we institute changes in the cafeteria.
